Digital or code in box — no disc
The base game with no bonuses. The physical version is just a code; there's no disc.

Prices, the preorder bonus, and the physical version are all clearly announced. On performance and resolution, Rockstar itself finally spoke up — but only partly.
Checked 29 September 2026. Every technical figure shows whether Rockstar said it or Digital Foundry calculated it.
This page follows the same split as the rest of the site: official prices and edition contents first, then the technical side with a clear line between Rockstar's own words and independent analysis, ending with what's still unknown.
Two editions, nothing else. Prices from Rockstar and Take-Two, 24 June 2026.

Seven exclusive vehicles (including the Vapid Dominator Buggy and a 1995 Grotti Cheetah), five edition-exclusive stores, upgraded weapons for Jason and Lucia, and two apparel collections. Bonuses unlock progressively by story chapter, not all at once.
Standard Edition owners can buy an Ultimate Edition Upgrade after redeeming their code.
The Vintage Vice City pack goes with every order or purchase made before 20 November 2026, regardless of edition or platform
A 1955 Vapid Stanier with the Shore Court garage, period outfits and hairstyles for both Jason and Lucia, and a palm-tree weapon skin pattern inspired by Tommy Vercetti.
Digital preorders only. PS5-only, redeemable through 31 March 2027, once per account. Physical preorders don't get this bonus.
A box exists, but no disc — and the collector's box is sold separately, without the game
Neither Rockstar nor Take-Two has explained why there's no collector's edition — only analyst speculation exists, not an official reason.
Announced 24 September 2026 — merchandise, not a game edition
Grand Theft Auto VI: The Goodtime State – Vice City Collection is a collector's box inspired by the Leonida TV show Macca the Gator. It does not include the game — Rockstar explicitly states that it is sold separately. It costs $399.99 from the Rockstar Games Store; the store lists a Czech price of CZK 9,738.99. It is available to preorder while supplies last.

The only official GTA 6 accessory Sony has announced so far
On 3 September 2026, Sony announced two GTA 6-themed DualSense controllers at a State of Play — black and white, with an iridescent finish and a palm-leaf texture. $84.99 each, launching 19 November 2026 alongside the game. Preorders open 10 September 2026, 7:00 AM PT / 10:00 AM ET. The black edition is a PlayStation Direct exclusive in the US, UK, and parts of Europe; the white one is more widely available.
Rockstar addressed this directly for the first time — but not completely
Rob Nelson, co-studio head at Rockstar North, told creator Davy Jones in an August interview that development builds run at 30 frames per second, and that the team doesn't yet know whether a performance mode (60fps) will exist — he'd need to check with the technical team. He said he had no details yet on final resolution or ray tracing.
Kotaku — Rockstar on 30fps and uncertainty around a performance mode
Analysis of the Extended Look footage (27 August 2026, captured on base PS5): an estimated native resolution around 1440p with no significant temporal upscaling, and a stable 30fps. Digital Foundry calls a 60fps mode on current hardware "extremely unlikely," and judges PS5 Pro's estimated 7% performance uplift insufficient.
This is Digital Foundry's own technical analysis of released footage, not a Rockstar figure — per Nelson, Rockstar itself doesn't have a final resolution yet.
The only official word is a general reassurance, no numbers
Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick, responding to investor concerns about Series S, said: "We support the platforms where the consumers are for as long as they're there, and we find a way to support platforms despite different levels of tech. Our labels are really good at that. I'm not really worried." No concrete resolution or frame-rate figures for Series S were given.
Technical estimates (not a Rockstar figure) based on hardware specs suggest possibly 720p on Series S versus roughly 1440p on Series X/PS5, potentially without ray-traced reflections and with more limited texture streaming.
The preload date is official; the unlock hour and download size aren't
One week before release, for both digital preorders and physical box-code redemptions.
Sites like GTA Boss infer likely times from PlayStation Store and Xbox Store listings, but say plainly that Rockstar has said nothing about the launch hour itself.
Community estimates cluster around 150–200GB for the base install plus a possible 15–50GB day-one patch — no official figure exists.
Open questions worth waiting on an official word for, not an estimate
Standard Edition is $79.99 (£69.99 / €79.99), Ultimate Edition is $99.99 (£89.99 / €99.99). There are no other game editions; the $399.99 The Goodtime State collector's box does not include the game.
Seven exclusive vehicles, five edition-exclusive stores, upgraded weapons, and two apparel collections. It unlocks progressively through the story, not all at once.
Not announced. Rockstar currently lists only PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. Based on how long previous games waited, a guess would be late 2027 at the earliest — but that's an estimate, not an announcement.
According to Rockstar North's Rob Nelson, development builds run at 30fps, and the studio doesn't yet know if there'll be a performance mode. This is the first time Rockstar has addressed the topic directly, not just reviewer speculation.
Rockstar doesn't know yet, per Nelson. Digital Foundry estimates around 1440p on base PS5 from Extended Look footage — but that's their own technical estimate, not a Rockstar figure.
No. Rockstar describes the physical edition as "a code in a box" — the game still downloads in full either way.
There is no collector's edition of the game — only Standard and Ultimate. On 24 September 2026, however, Rockstar began selling The Goodtime State – Vice City Collection collector's box ($399.99; CZK 9,738.99 in the Czech Republic), with a figurine, sunglasses, a poster featuring a map of Leonida, and other items. It does not include the game.
